Scenario

In a typical implementation project, the system administrator is responsible for setting up the users and access groups, and completing security checks after completing the Pega Customer Decision Hub™ setup wizard.

As a system administrator, to help expedite this process you have been provided with an archive file named SetupDevelopmentEnvironment.zip. To import this file into the application, follow the steps outlined below:

Caution: This step is necessary to complete this assignment. The archive file includes all operators, exercise artifacts, dynamic system settings, and other artifacts.

 

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Initialization may take up to 5 minutes so please be patient.

Detailed Tasks

  1. Log in to App Studio as the setup operator:
    1. In the User name field, enter SystemArchitect.
    2. In the Password field, enter rules.
  2. In the header of App Studio, click App Studio > Dev Studio to switch workspaces.
  3. In the header of Dev Studio, click Configure > Application > Distribution > Import to import the exercise artifacts.
    1. On the Import Wizard tab, click Choose File.
    2. Select the downloaded .zip file in File Explorer.
    3. Click Next.
  4. Select the Enable advanced mode to provide more granular control over the import process checkbox, and then click Next.

  1. Select the Enable new operators, overwrite existing operators on import checkbox, and then click Next.

  1. Click Next multiple times until the import process starts.
  2. Click Done.
  3. In the lower-left corner, click the user icon, and then select Log off to log out of Dev Studio.
  4. Log back in as the SystemArchitect.
