Scenario

You have just joined Pega and want to familiarize yourself with Pega Sales Automation™ by exploring the Pega Sales Automation sample application.

The sample application introduces you to Sophia Anderson, a manager. Sophia's team includes Benjamin Miller, a top sales representative.

Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:

Role User name Password
Sales representative Benjamin Miller bmiller rules
Sales manager Sophia Anderson sanderson rules

 

You must initiate your own Pega instance to complete this Challenge.

Initialization may take up to 5 minutes so please be patient.

Challenge Walkthrough

Detailed Tasks

1 Explore the Sales representative portal

  1. On the exercise system landing page, click Pega Infinity™ to log in as Sales Representative Benjamin Miller. Benjamin's home page shows Pulse messages, his Worklist, and any Next best actions, Upcoming appointments, and My followed items.
    1. In the User name field, enter bmiller.
    2. In the Password field, enter rules.
  2. On the left, from the Navigation panel, click Dashboards > Sales rep coaching dashboard. Scroll down and observe the widgets on the sales representative dashboard.
  3. On the left, from the Navigation panel, click Leads. The sales leads assigned to Benjamin Miller are displayed.
  4. Click the lead for Sara Connor. The lead record for Sara Connor is displayed. The lead page displays Assignments, Next best actions, and the Details for this lead. You can click Pulse, Activities and Tasks, Appointments, Emails or History to see more details about each of them respectively.
  5. On the left, from the Navigation panel, click Contacts. Benjamin Miller's contacts are displayed.
  6. Click the contact for Sienna Trevino. The contact record for Sienna Trevino is displayed.
  7. On the left, in the Contact record, click Accounts to see the Associated accounts.
  8. On the left, from the Navigation panel, click Opportunities. The sales opportunities for Benjamin are displayed divided in the Business opportunities tab and the Individual opportunities tab.
  9. Click the opportunity record for Group Teamwork Hub for Crosby Market to review the information stored for an opportunity and view the stages pipeline.
  10. In the top right corner, click Account and select Log off to log out of the sales representative portal.

2 Explore the Sales manager portal

  1. On the exercise system landing page, click Pega Infinity™ to log in as Sales Manager Sophia Anderson. Sophia's home page shows Pulse messages, her Worklist, Next Best Actions, My followed items and any appointments.
    1. In the User name field, enter sanderson.
    2. In the Password field, enter rules.
  2. On the left, from the Navigation panel, click Dashboards > Sales manager dashboard. Scroll and observe the widgets on the sales manager dashboard.
  3. On the left, from the Explorer panel, select Opportunities. All opportunities in Sophia's territory are displayed. Note that Sophia sees opportunities for all members of her team.
  4. In the top right corner, click Account and select Log off to log out of the sales manager portal.
