Beginner Pega Robotic Automation 22.1 Robotic Process Automation English

During the interrogation process of an application, the developer should ensure that every time the solution and associated applications run, the interrogated controls are available — this is called matching. An unmatched control is unusable in an automation. However, applications may update within an organization, or the development of the application is too indistinct to pinpoint a match. To solve this dilemma, Pega Robot Studio provides both X-ray Vision and control-based match rules to ensure the control is matched and available for consistent use in a robotic project.

After completing this module, you should be able to:

Restate how a robotic solution uses match rules during runtime
Relate best practices regarding match rules
Differentiate between the application of Windows and web-based match rules during interrogation
Differentiate between how web applications and IE compatible web applications match rules
Resolve common match rule situations
Restate how controls can become unmatched
Explain the use of Xray Vision and its impact on application interrogation and automation development
Describe the purpose of UseKeys and how, once implemented, the UseKeys is applied within automation logic

Practice what you learned in the following Challenge:

Interrogating a single-page application v1

Available in the following mission:

Robotics System Architect v3
