The CPLSA mindset and mission

The goal

The goal of the Lead System Architect mission is to establish a candidate's ability to identify design options for particular situations and advance their capability to evaluate these options to help them form recommendations. This course supports the development of these skills in several ways.

The challenges focus on design and analysis. Similar to the chess player, it is critical for the PCLSA to develop the ability to identify and evaluate all possible options, to determine the best path forward. The actual configuration of the Rules (or moving of chess pieces) is easily accomplished, however, the implications can have long-term consequences. The student is encouraged to use the challenges presented in the course to independently develop the thought process required to solve problems by analyzing and comparing possible design options, in order to reach the optimal solution.
