The Outlook add-in

Introduction

The Pega Sales Automation™ Outlook add-in empowers sales representatives with suggested actions in Outlook by leveraging Pega’s Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA). IVA analyzes email text in real-time, providing sentiment insights and suggesting tasks and email responses for the sales representative. Actions taken by sales representatives train the models and increase the accuracy of suggestions over time.

This demo shows you the Pega Sales Automation™ Outlook add-in.

When you select an email in Outlook the Pega icon is displayed in the email header. Click the Pega icon to open the add-in.

The Pega Sales Automation Outlook add-in analyses email text in real time by using the Pega Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA).

Sentiment analysis determines whether the message from a customer or prospect is positive, negative, or neutral.

The natural language processing (NLP) algorithm analyzes email content and suggests tasks and email responses to the sales representatives.

Hover over the info icon to view the reasoning for the suggested action.

Match scores prioritize the best actions for every email. The actions of sales reps become the baseline of models to train and increase the accuracy of suggestions over time.

You can improve productivity and email quality with canned email templates.

You can customize and add templates for your sales organization.

The add-in displays any contacts, leads, opportunities, accounts, and organizations associated with the email address.

If the email sender or an email recipient is unknown, the Add a person section is displayed and allows contact record creation.

Click the envelope icon to add the email to the record.

The green check mark means that the email has been added to the record.

The record can be opened directly from the add-in by selecting View in browser from the menu.

Emails added to contacts, leads, opportunities, accounts, and organizations are found on the Activities tab.

You can also add an activity or a task and edit the record directly from within the add-in.

From a contact, you can also create a Lead or an Opportunity.

It is also possible to add a new Activity, Task, Contact, Lead, and Opportunity records from the create menu.

Use the push pin if you want the add-in to display always. The add-in automatically updates when a different email is selected.

The Outlook and Pega Sales Automation calendars are kept in sync.

If you add an appointment in Outlook, it is be pushed to Pega Sales Automation and vice versa.
