Section components

Pega Government Platform™ contains reusable, generic, and configurable user interface components that can be used as sections to display the information captured for various entities and Case Types. These sections are template-based and support the architecture of the Pega Cosmos design system.

Evidence tab

There are two ways in which an Evidence Case can become a part of the main Case Type:

  • When the parent Case Type invokes the evidence Case as a subCase or child Case
  • When a standalone evidence Case is linked to a parent Case with the association framework

For example, during an investigation for a reported theft, you visit the site and capture images of broken locks, doors, or windows indicating a break-in. You can also collect surveillance footage. Both the images and footage act as evidence in support of the theft. You can first collect the evidence and then record a Theft Investigation Case and associate the items as evidence in support of the Case. You can also register a theft Case and then proceed with the investigation and record the images and footage as evidence.

In both scenarios, when you view the parent Case details of the Theft Investigation Case, you can make use of the Evidence tab section component. On this tab, you can view all the associated pieces of evidence for that parent Case. In the previous example, you view the images and the footage listed as evidence on the Evidence tab.

Interviews tab

You can use the Interviews tab section as a tab in the parent View of the Case to fetch and display all the interviews that are associated with the parent Case.

For example, in the Theft Investigation Case, you record the statements of each eyewitness as an interview. All the interviews that you conduct as part of the investigation and associate with the investigation are displayed on the Interviews tab.

In the following image, click the + icons to learn more about the Interviews tab:

Activity plan tab

You can use the Activity plan tab section as a tab in the parent Case View to fetch all the activity plans that are initiated from the Case.

This tab also provides the granular details of the activity plans such as the goals and tasks that are associated with the plan upon expansion. In the Case of a sequential activity plan, the tasks and goals which are not yet created are displayed with “waiting” status and are greyed out.

Checklist tab

You can use the Checklist details tab section as a separate tab in the Case View to show the checklist items related to the Case that are captured as part of Review checklist flow component.

This tab also provides the status information on each checklist item, as shown in the following figure:

Evaluation tab

You can use the Evaluation tab section in the parent Case to show the evaluation criteria for the Case; the list is sourced from the Evaluate flow component.

The Evaluation tab shows the score achieved for each criterion and the max, weight, and total score.

This tab also shows the system recommendation to the reviewer, which helps the reviewer take appropriate action before final approval.
