Using the Test console

The Test console allows the developer to test the outcomes of sending in an email. This tool aids in understanding how the email bot behaves when it receives an email. It is a best practice to test how the natural language processing (NLP) model and email behave after rebuilding the model to ensure that emails are processed correctly.

Using the Test console in the Email bot channel

  1. At the top of the Email bot channel, click Test to create a test email that aligns with a topic defined in your channel. 
  2. In the dialog box, click Test to test this sample email. The outcome of the test is displayed at the bottom of the dialog box, including detected topics, sentiment, and entities.

Note the metric next to any topics that are returned. This metric represents the confidence that your NLP model had in its classification.
