The Responsibility Model

One of the design principles of Pega Cloud is that clients maintain control over certain functions and features in their Pega Platform application environment, along with the controls that Pega Cloud maintains.

When you implement a Pega Cloud® application, you need to understand which tasks you need to perform and which tasks Pega needs to perform.  The following figure shows this division of labor.  You need to perform the tasks above the dotted line.  Pega performs the tasks below the dotted line.

Clients have a responsibility to perform tasks that typically relate to the Pega applications that they create. To learn more about client responsibilities in Pega Cloud, click the + icons in the following figure:
