Starting and stopping assignment types

Starting and stopping assignment types

Unattended robots process assignments only if the assignment type is running. Initially, the assignment type is in Stop status. You can start the assignment type once it is ready for processing. You may need to stop an assignment type in some instances; for example, you temporarily shut down an automation application to prioritize assignment types from other applications.

In the following example, assignment types Dispute charge and Open account are running while the assignment type Order new card is stopped the automation processes only assignments in the Dispute charge and Open account assignment types.

Consider a scenario where you have 150 Order new card assignments that must be completed before any Dispute charges or Open accounts assignments can be processed. You can achieve this by temporarily stopping all other assignment types except for the Order new card.

Use the following steps to start or stop assignment types:

    1. On the Pega Robot Manager dashboard, click Robots to display the Robots landing page.
    2. In the Work group tab, click the work group that contains the assignment type that you want to start or stop.
    3. Click the STOP or START button next to the assignment type that you want to start or stop.
